Change the Dynamic by Merging Images to Create Unique Compositions

For this project, I wanted to challenge myself to see how realistic I could make it. Creative compositions are created by merging images together to create unique compositions. What is created can be really abstract and tell a story, or it can be so subtle, you don’t realize that the image has been changed at all.

TELLING A STORY

I wanted to make this elk look like he was just eating out in a meadow somewhere. He actually lives on a beautiful elk ranch in Idaho, so in the original image, you can see the fences in the distance. It isn’t nearly as impressive to say that you took the picture through a hole in the fence as taking a close up like this in the wild. In other words, photoshop is the aid to fish stories today… or at least it would be if it wasn’t so fun to show people how you made the image.
